Terms and Agreements of Sale
Our Privacy Statement sets out how your personal information is collected, used and disclosed. Please ensure that you read these terms carefully. To the extent of any inconsistency, the terms are set out in this document.
Keymate reserves the right to alter the terms, conditions, pricing and offers, size and colours, quality and features of the products or services as deemed necessary.
To accept the support and terms of the warranty offered by Keymate for its products and related services, you must have:
At least 1 Keymate device purchased or provided by Keymate or its affiliates or authorised resellers.
The device must have working batteries and they must be placed correctly in the device/s purchased.
To enjoy all the features of the Keymate you must be registered and have paid for the Keymate Plus service on the Keymate website.
- The range of the Keymate devices is subject to interference from radio sources and range is limited by walls and solid objects. The best possible experience is obtained by employing fresh batteries and avoiding interference to radio waves.
Our ability to re-unite your personal items will be reduced if you have failed to register your details or failed to provide your current secondary contact details online or via the call centre to Keymate
The registration procedure:
The device owner or holder or authorised representative of the Keymate device and services or any person with the express consent of the legal lessee/account holder of Keymate Service
During the customer registration process, you must register your device and your personal information - without it, Keymate will not be able to support you and provide and prove your warranty is valid, nor can we recover your devices or personal items in the event they are lost and recovered.
Only once registered and confirmed can the full Keymate Plus Service be provided to you as intended.
This extends to including warranty, battery and service calls, and recovery services operated by Keymate (Keymate Plus).

Access to your personal data:
Your details are stored electronically, and Keymate reserves the right to send reminders to update your personal and secondary details sent annually to ensure the Keymate Plus service can effectively return your items to you.
If you do not agree to registration for Keymate Plus Recovery Service, features will be limited to:
1 year warranty only.
Customer will have an option to extend the 1 year initial warranty by online or phone registration and by paying the annual Keymate Plus fee with the customer providing up-to-date contact information to Keymate.
Charges:
Charges apply if you are not a current Keymate Plus customer or if you are in arrears, or if your registration has lapsed, or suspended. Charges for recovery of your personal items will be in accordance with the prices specified in the current year service charges for a minimum of 1 Year of Keymate Plus, and any other value added or relevant services and handling fees you may access or use.
E.g. handling fee to replace damaged or lost devices may apply.
Where you use the services the relevant charges (including any incidental charges) will be applied to the customer’s bill.
You have chosen to purchase the device - the price you have agreed to pay is stated on the receipt or invoices provided, or online.
Returns and Refund policy.
- All returns within 14 days - Should the device be returned to Keymate in original packaging and with the original documentation and proof of purchases, the company will at its discretion will offer a full refund or pro-rate a credit if acceptable to the customer.
- Water or intentional damage by customer, will void the warranty. The device is delivered with anti-tamper and water-immersion detection attributes.
- Your device will not be under the standard Keymate warranty if you intentionally open to tamper or retrofit, immerse in water or liquid, heat to the point of failure or crush or destroy the devices.
- No warranty is available if you place old batteries in the devices or attempt to retrofit or address any shortcomings in the device.
Currency - Australian dollars:
Purchasing in any other currency will result in the currency cross rate being applied by the relevant bank clearing the international transaction - Keymate will not be accountable for errors or excess fees charged by the bank or its agents. Appropriate sales tax will be applied by Keymate for Australian purchases.
Note: Should Keymate sell a device or service in a country other than Australia, Keymate will attempt to charge in the currency of that country. If this is not possible the currency will default to Australian Dollars.
Country of domicile is Australia:
You will be offered an international warranty and are covered by Australian Consumer rights, but you may be required to pay fair costs to Keymate or its agents for all postage and packaging for all international post or courier fees. You will also be responsible for all taxes in your state or country if items are deemed taxable when crossing a border.
Delivery policy:
Items will be provided OTC (over the counter), or delivered by Australia Post, or via courier or by a retail store sale. Should your items be ordered and not delivered within 14 days, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to inform Keymate and provide proof of purchase and a contact number, email and postal or delivery address.
